Player buoyancy affected by equipment

We've got to make this game as cool as possible! If you have an idea of how it could be better, say it already!!

Player buoyancy affected by equipment

Equipment parts that are heavy enough to reduce the player's speed stats, such as the Iron Armor and the Spiked Boots, could also allow the player to dive easier.

Reducing speed, sure. As for diving faster, that's not how physics works.

On second thought, I think I misspelt something there... as in the player would merely be able to dive a bit deeper than if he were not using those tools, instead of being able to swim freely as in SM63, but given enough weight, a body would sink altogether instead of being able to float at all.

...

Anyway, from what little I've seen regarding underwater environments in LL, either they are complete WIP or this concept is unintuitive enough to be disregarded.

Next.

Neither is double jumping in mid-air. Video games don't have to be completely accurate to reality. :p

The next game will have water in it. The team is currently testing how under-water control will be like. As for equipment affecting how under-water movement works. I think specific equipment could have helpful or adverse affects when in water.

How about a "Fins" item that can be worn on the feet like boots, and increases swimming speed, like the Frog Suit from SMB3?
