How do I set the health of the character to 1, like in Niicola's The Level (http://www.lastlegacy.us/view.html?id=111)? I don't want to have to damage the character when they start.

Put 3 Damage Amulets on the character's equips.

Ah, ok! *Facepalm* I haven't played in a year (and you may remember my no effort levels), so I forgot.

Effectively, players always have the possibility of cheating such a level by wearing off the cursed amulets and respawning. This isn't really circumventable, so damaging the character at the start and not adding any heart seems to be the only way if you want to force players into this.
