Games like Minecraft come prepackaged with their own fontset as an image file, and the game just pulls from that. In other cases, such as SM63, I noticed the game required the Arial Tur fontset when I opened it up in Flash, so I presume that was it's default option, but that the game was set to look for others on the user's computer.
The game should be automatically set with at minimum 3 choices ranging from TNR to Calibri to Arial, since those are the most common. If a user's level submission has it coded in their signs to require a specific font, that's usually their slip-up for not adding secondary and tertiary options.
So yeah, it should already be coded in, but if not, it's a good suggestion regardless.
