Games suspended on Runouw.com

So ... what does this mean? It doesn't really harm those who have the download versions, but those who don't have it, have bad luck ...

Since http://www.lastlegacy.us/games.html redirects back to Runouw.com, this would be a good time to remove the redirects and have separate game pages.

Also if you read this and don't have the downloads for SM63 / LL, it's a very good time to get them once they're available again.

There was a large amount of bandwidth being used up, so I had to quickly pull the games off (which use 75% of the entire server's bandwidth). We've reached the point where the bandwidth to host SM63 and Last Legacy exceed the money that those games bring in. So we can no longer host them anymore unless we secure some other kind of funding.

Thanks for reminding me about the games page on this site. I've updated the links to Newgrounds for now.

Hey Runouw, just wanted to double check, but is there any way to get around this? I have both games downloaded and could easily stick them on Dropbox or something, for instance.

Losing the downloadable versions is just a pretty big blow to the Contest scene, so if there's anything we can do without getting you or the community caught up in red tape, it'd be nice to work something else out.

I'm looking for other hosting options. I haven't checked Dropbox closely enough to know if it's free for unlimited downloads. But if so, we should put those downloads on the games page so people can access the EXE downloads again.

With the games being linked to Newgrounds, a SM63 contest should still work in 2 weeks or whatever, even it may be a liiittle inconvenient without the standalone designer ...
