idk i feel like it may need something like a multiplayer online function or a 2 player or a changable player with diffrent abilitys... just an suggestion or idea.

This would probably use netcodes. I'd rather not write netcodes.
I also have no idea how this would work. Can both players place blocks? If so, why can both players place blocks?

That honestly sounds like the quickest way to turn an easy level into a complicated puzzle of trying to find who altered what with Delta.

From a storyline perspective, multiplayer does not make sense at all due to the ability being unique to the hero. Therefore multiplayer cannot happen in the storymode levels. And due to the intended nature of NS, all user-made levels are 'canon-like' due to multiverse. So it also does not really make much sense to have multiplayer in user-made levels.

What about multiple alternate-universe versions of the Hero? They'd technically be multiple people with the same body, mind, memories, abilities, etc. with only some slight (color?) changes to tell the difference between them. That would work canonically, unless the main story Hero and the doppelgänger are the only ones that exist in the entire multiverse for some reason.

Ok, then what about player made levels with a different backstory for the Hero than the story mode Hero?
Also, what about a cloning machine? Would that work canonically?

yeah, maybe. Netcodes are still a pain to program well.

This will be explored in Ch1+2 remake, but it would be like trying to print a car with an inkjet printer.
