It's a simple system. You just put an invisible hitbox which edit Back Tiles to Front Tiles. Another one to do the opposite. Then, you just convert your original Front Tiles to block. I'm kinda bad in explanation so here's a test level.

Hint: To make the color of Front-layered tiles perfectly match the color of Back-layered tiles, the Color Box you used should have Red, Blue & Green at 70% and everything else at their defaults.

I made this...without the ability to return on Foreground.
